  • Probable Iranian agent captured in Katmandu

Details from a story in The Himalayan:
    • The suspect is identified as Mohsin Khosravian, Iranian passport # 95434382. [Note that Mohsen is a much more common spelling of the name.]
    • Khosravian has resided in Bangkok since 2004, and has been married to a Thai woman for five years.
    • He had travelled recently to Sri Lanka for unknown reasons.
    • Khosravian travelled to Nepal via Malaysia, where he arrived on his Iranian passport on 31 March 2013.
    • The suspect entered Nepal 03 April 2013 and presented a forged Israeli passport when requesting his 'on arrival' visa.
    • The forged passport was in the name of a Mr. Alexander. It's not clear where or when Khosravian acquired the passport.
    • Security personnel at the Israeli Embassy in Katmandu took the suspect into custody on 13 April 2013, after observing him making "frequent and suspicious visits" to the vicinity of the Embassy.
    • Khosravian has been remanded in custody for investigation.
    • His wife and two Iranians described as his relatives arrived in Nepal on Friday to meet him. It's not clear from the report if they knew he was in custody.
    • Khosravian has told the Nepalese a number of things that don't quite jive with his arrival on a forged Israeli passport:
      • He says he was merely looking for a shop to repair his laptop when he was captured.
      • He also claims that, facing the loss of his garment business in Thailand, he travelled to Nepal in order to subsequently travel to Europe, where he claims he was going to seek asylum.

    Mohsin or Mohsen?

I can't confirm they are the same person, but there is a Mohsen Khosravian on Facebook who lives in Thailand, is married to a Thai woman, operates an import/export business that includes sourcing and manufacturing garments, and whose last post was on 30 March 2013, while on 12 March he was pining for his beloved Harley Davidson, which he had evidently just sold. The import/export business was started in 2005. In the time it took me to write this, one of his Facebook accounts has been disappeared, specifically the one in the name of the import/export business.

The complete list of services his company provides is interesting even if he's not the gentleman in custody in Nepal (and doubly so if he is):

Care to take a closer look?

Someone really might want to take a closer look at Bangkok-based Mohsen Express a/k/a Iran Thai Cargo.
